Does the aluminum coating of some clothing materials have a negative influence on the proper functioning of the Barryvox OPTO 3000 transceiver ?
Aluminum coated clothing materials have a negligible effect on the transmit power, even when the transceiver is worn underneath the clothing as recommended. When doing a search under normal conditions, i.e. holding the transceiver in front of the searcher, no negative influence can be detected either.
Can the magnetic buttons of some clothing have a negative influence on the Barryvox OPTO 3000 transceiver ?
The magnetic field as emitted by buttons that are sometimes used on sports garments does not influence the transmitting and searching performance of the Barryvox OPTO 3000. But if such a magnetic button gets close to the On/Off switch, it may happen under certain conditions that a turned off Barryvox will be turned on or a turned on Barryvox will be turned off for a short time.
